The mother of a 20-year-old woman who was shot execution-style on the Upper East Side as she pushed her three-month-old baby in stroller has slammed cops for not protecting her daughter from the gunman who she claims is the baby's father. 'The city was supposed to be protecting her,' Lisa Desort told Fox News as she broke down in tears. 'This is a domestic violence case from January. We called the precinct.' Biden says he would BACK killing the filibuster to codify abortion and insists 'I'm the president... that makes me the best messenger' on Roe v. Wade: Accuses Supreme Court of 'outrageous behavior' and 'destabilizing' the U.S.

President Joe Biden said he would back killing the filibuster to pass federal abortion legislation and blasted the Supreme Court's 'outrageous' repealing of Roe v. Wade during a press conference in Madrid on Thursday. The president took questions from reporters in a brief press conference running just shy of half an hour after meeting with European NATO leaders. Biden pledged to have further updates on the fight to keep abortion access for all women after meeting with US governors upon his return on Friday. He also pointed out that the Supreme Court's Friday decision to roll back federal rights to the procedure had larger implications on 'the right to privacy' as a whole. 'The first and foremost thing we should do, is make it clear how outrageous this decision was and how much it impacts - not just on a woman's right to choose, which is a critical, critical piece - but on privacy generally,' Biden said. 'And so I'm going to be talking to the governors as to what actions they think I should be taking as well.' He added that the 'most important thing' was his belief that the protections granted in Roe v. Wade should be codified into law.

The plot, revealed in text messages, emails, and a phone call recording on Hunter's abandoned laptop, gives an insight into political strategies the president considered in an attempt to win the White House. But it also reveals his son's deep involvement in Joe's political decisions, the unfettered access to the would-be president that top Democrat donors received, and Hunter's mixing of personal business interests with Joe's presidential campaign - as he also pitched Penner's company on several money-making schemes. From the billionaire space race to Space Mountain! Amazon tycoon Jeff Bezos, 58, and his girlfriend Lauren Sanchez, 52, giggle like children as they enjoy a fun-filled day at Disneyland (alongside FIVE bodyguards and two VIP guides)

The Amazon CEO, 58, and his girlfriend of three-years, 52, looked like they were having a blast as they rode rides like Space Mountain, Toy Story Mania, and the Jungle Cruise at the California theme park. The couple appeared in good spirits as they made their way through the Happiest Place on Earth, chatting and giggling together as Lauren clutched onto her beau's arm. Entertainment reporter Lauren kept it casual for the amusement park outing in a pair of blue skinny jeans, a white crop top, and sneakers. She paired the look with a blue Monsters University cap and sunglasses. The billionaire, for his part, donned tan khaki pants, a gray V-neck T-shirt, a cap, and shades. The pair hardly kept a low profile as they were accompanied by five bodyguards and two VIP tour guides. The couple was seen riding on the high-speed rollercoaster Space Mountain. They also got soaked on the Grizzly River Run and went head to head on the ride Toy Story Mania. VIP tours start at $2,975 and don't include admission tickets, which cost another $420. However, as one of the richest men in the world, it's unlikely that Bezos - who is worth $133.2 billion - was worried by the prices.

Trump now says Mark Meadows' 'whackjob' aide Cassidy Hutchinson has 'mental problems' and insists he wouldn't lunge at Secret Service agents because 'they lift 350 lbs - and I don't'

Hutchinson's testimony is central to the January 6 committee's argument that the Capitol attack was not a sudden incident but rather the culmination of Trump and his allies' 'last stand' in a wider plot to upend US democracy and stay in power. But on Thursday Trump undermined Hutchinson as a 'climber' who was rejected from a role in the Trump Organization and claimed without reasoning that the committee as a whole is 'illegal.' 'She said I jumped from a car and I started strangling - think of this - I started strangling a Secret Service agent who I know very well?'

Putin loses his 57th colonel in just four months of war as footage shows the moment a Russian base is pounded by powerful howitzers

Lieutenant Colonel Pavel Kislyakov, 40 (inset), was buried today with full military honours in his hometown in Moscow region. He was the 57th colonel to have been killed since Putin ordered his troops over the border on February 24, and his death highlights the stark losses of high-ranking officers suffered by Russia. The war, which has now raged for more than four months, has also seen the slaying of at least 11 Russian generals - though the true death toll may be higher given the tendency of Russian authorities to conceal its death tolls. It comes as fresh footage from the Ukrainian military showed how its soldiers deployed an M777 howitzer long-range artillery weapon to obliterate a Russian base (pictured main)

Ukraine releases chilling new footage of shoppers diving for cover at Ukrainian mall as Russian rocket strikes - after Kremlin insisted the complex was 'non-functioning'

The newly released footage was captured by CCTV cameras in and around the Amstor mall in Kremenchuk, central Ukraine, which was struck by a Russian missile on Monday. Two cameras inside the same shop captured the moment the missile struck, sending goods flying off the shelves and the shopkeeper running for cover. Two more cameras on the exterior of the complex showed debris landing on the ground outside the mall. Another exterior camera showed smoke rising from the building as it was hit, and two passers-by narrowly avoiding flying debris. Another exterior camera looking out over a parking bay captured the missile as it flew into the building causing a huge blast. The new footage debunks the claim from Igor Konashenkov, a spokesperson for Russia's defence ministry, who said the mall was 'non-functioning. At least 18 people were killed in the strike with another 21 still missing as-of Wednesday, with rescuers warning they are unlikely to have survived an inferno which gutted the mall and caused the roof to collapse. Identifying victims is proving difficult, with some bodies burned beyond recognition.
