For how impressive and ambitious Elden Ring is on a technical scale, that doesn't mean the game is completely exempt from bugs or glitches. Given how large and detailed the environments are within Elden Ring, a number of technical hiccups have managed to slip through the cracks. These glitches tend to be few and far between, but they can often be rather humorous and even terrifying upon occasion.

The glitches that players have managed to encounter in-gamerange wildly in terms of what can potentially happen. One player even managed to glitch Elden Ring so that they could run through the air, but a number of in-game glitches are often caused without player input. One of the most recent glitches involves one of the gigantic dogs that can be encountered in the wastelands of Caelid.

Over on Reddit, a user named No_Doctor7860 posted a screenshot of them talking to an NPC inside a building located in Caelid. Though, what's ultimately disconcerting about this image is the fact that the head of one of the Monstrous Dogs is clipping through the wall directly behind where the NPC is sitting. What makes the image that much more unsettling is that it looks like the dog is actually looking down at the player as well.

Of all the dog enemies featured in Elden Ring, the Monstrous Dogs found in Caelid are considerably difficult to fight against, given their speed and ferocity. The dogs are also known to chase after players for extended periods of time, which is what likely caused this dog's head to glitch through the wall of this building. It must have followed the player to the building, and then the dog's head likely clipped through while trying to reach the player.

It's amazing how bizarre occurrences like this can often happen in-game. While some of these glitches obviously aren't as prevalent or detrimental to the experience as with something like Cyberpunk 2077,for instance, when they do happen in Elden Ring, they are most often hilarious to witness. However, there have been a number of instances of glitches going wrong in Elden Ring as well.

Some glitches in Elden Ring can sometimes make the game needlessly more difficult than it already is. In fact, a couple of months ago, one player ran into a glitch that made Malenia invincible. Considering that Malenia is one of the hardest bosses in Elden Ring, this sort of glitch certainly has the potential to cause players massive amounts of grief.

Elden Ring is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
