One of the most exciting announcements of June 2022 was the reveal of Street Fighter 6. Not only did Capcom confirm the fighting game's ongoing development, but it debuted a range of gameplay including allowing content creators access to a demo experience. For the time being, no beta plans have been announced, but Street Fighter fans are anxious to see more footage. That may not be too far off, it seems, as Capcom has now confirmed that it will be showcasing Street Fighter 6 at an upcoming event.

In a message posted on Twitter, Capcom confirmed that it's bringing Street Fighter 6 to the upcoming Japan Expo in Paris. The Japan Expo in Paris is an annual convention celebrating Japan and its culture, including video games. Capcom will be attending the convention and is bringing demo stations of Street Fighter 6, making it one of the first public opportunities for fans to play the game. The Japan Expo in Paris will run from July 14 through July 17.

As with the demo showcased for influencers and the media in early June, the demo being brought to the Japan Expo in Paris will be just a vertical slice of Street Fighter 6. The demo includes just four fighters to choose from, including Ryu, Chun-Li, Luke, and new fighter Jaime. No new fighters will be included in the demo.

While the demo won't be expanded over what Street Fighter fans have previously seen, the level of access the Japan Expo in Paris showcase will offer should provide a diverse range of gameplay showcasing a lot of Street Fighter 6 yet to be seen. With that said, the Street Fighter 6 demo stations will likely be packed with convention attendees, so high-level players may find it difficult to match up against each other. Any gameplay is better than no gameplay, though.

For the time being, there are no other events confirmed to be showcasing Street Fighter 6 in the future. With that said, the fact that Capcom is bringing Street Fighter 6 to the Japan Expo in Paris shows that it's likely to attend more events between now and release. The Japan Expo in Paris is a rather nontraditional venue for big game showcases, after all. EVO 2022, held in early August, could be the next best possibility for Street Fighter 6 to show up at.

It's safe to assume that Street Fighter fans are going to see a lot of Street Fighter 6 over the coming months. Street Fighter 6 may not be arriving until 2023, but Capcom's built an incredible amount of momentum for the game, and it's unlikely to let that fade away easily. Stay tuned for more Street Fighter 6 updates soon.
